Are you buying one or already have one? What size boat you lookin at. Looks like the bigger boats are rated 50hp on up. Don't see why puttin a 35 mm on one would hurt anything.
If your looking to purchase one, why not look into getting a boat built specifically for a mm?

I have a 16x52 lowe roughneck with a 35 MB on the back with no additional bracing. If you are buying it new and can afford it go with a mud hull you won’t be sorry.

But the Lowe will work ok as well. You will lose durability and lose some speed.

If you just want to save some cash, call Gator Tail, they have other hulls they stock (can't remember brand) that they have made for the GT motors.

If you are buying new, look at another boat made for a MM. The roughneck is a good boat if you plan on a 40-60 OB, but they under perform with MM with any kind of load. The transoms are okay, just watch for cracking weld with a MM over time. We have seen a number with cracked welds after a couple of seasons of hitting stuff and trailering. Your biggest concern should be performance, i.e. they plow water with anything over a two man load and any gear where a good MM hull will carry 3-5 guys and plane with no issues with the same MM on the back.
