Comments: Went and ran a couple hours yesterday with North LA Hunter (he ran his boat). Ran well, hopped up on plane in deep water easily. Handled shallows without hiccup, other than the 20 ft of dry ground i came up 6ft short on

Reckon I need to go on and get the gator glide and put it on...
Engine has heads decked .036 and valves re-cut with some port/polish, and stock exhaust is gutted.
I'm pleased with the layout of the boat, and how it rides. Slid a little bit turning to the light side of the boat, but my side it cut a turn real well (except for once coming off shallow into a deep water turn). I guess that's just a factor of so little weight in the boat. Will find out in a month when it's time to work on the blinds.
The handle is solid, and something I love having in a boat most of the time, and it's removable, so it won't be in the way while hunting out of the boat.
The 48" bottom rides a little low compared to the 54" i'm used to, but with more power it wouldn't be an issue. Planning to upgrade the engine a bit more, but if that doesn't happen, I'm completely happy with how she runs as is. Doing it over again isn't desired. I'll run her til the wheels fall off.
Pictures coming....
