 Is my prop still good
I'm new to owning a mud motor. I got 18hp cooperhead on a 14 x 48, the other day I had a big hunt load 3 guys and a 75lbs dog and the rpms we turning around 4100. I can tell its lost speed when I'm in it by myself. The cup almost looks gone too. Just wanted to know if I need a new one soon.

Re: Is my prop still good
The cup side wears very little on these style props - the wear occurs on the other side - the leading edge of the prop. I use the prop blade width across the blade more than tip to tip diameter to determine wear. That and rpm with prop trimmed down tell you the most about prop condition. Once more than 1/4" of blade width is lost the performance falls off and at 1/2" wear you have a paperweight.
