I've been telling myself I need a new truck for about two years now. Tired of driving the F250. It's just too big for what I need and a PITA around town.

So... What engine? 2.7 Ecoboost, 3.5 Ecoboost, or 5.0?

I know the smart thing to do is to go get a killer deal on a left over 2014, but I'm really diggin the new body style. Thinking leveled with 33" ATs would look pretty sharp. The new aluminum body is intriguing as well. What do y'all think of the 2015s?

Nice clean lines!! Go with the 5.0 coyote motor a lot more mods available and very snappy with little tune

Very nice trucks! Deff go ecoboost...

No truck on the market can touch the tuned 3.5. Being lighter it will be even quicker

Saw a Edmunds report on the aluminum body being expensive as hell to repair and insurance company's are going to raise prices to match repairs just a heads up.

Go watch the video of the guy smashing one with a sledge! Very tough compared to steel panels...

That's the one that cost twice as much to repair

I pay my insurance through my company so not that big a deal if it's higher. Just another write off, lol

I can't say anything about the 2.7 but 3.5 vs 5.0, the 3.5 has it for torque and probably hp but with the charge air cooler up front the Eco boost loses a lot of "off road ability". There is basically part of your intake hanging down for a rock or log to jam into before it hits a skid plate or anything. I'm a ford guy and that's a dumb design for a 4x4 vehicle. But if you're just on street and maybe some light off-roading id go eco boost. I love my company truck. Full of tools it gets 17.5mpg the 5.0's are getting around 13-14 in our company. But all that being said, nothing sounds like that 5.0.... Nothing

I've seen a few rolling around and at first glance I see tundra but I picked one over the other day and I liked a lot ...

Heard the 2.7 is a turd - non towing and city driving

3.5 will help tie better than the 5.0 but I've only noticed .5mpg difference in my 5.0 compare to a biddies 3.5 same tire size and gear ratio

It also did that in the new aluminum chassis. I believe the 3.5 and 5.0 were 2014 trucks

I'm in the auto body industry and I can tell you the insurance on these trucks is going to be through the roof. Aluminum panels on vehicles are very hard to straighten. Most times they end up having to be replaced, witch makes the repair cost higher.

Ive got some insight on the repair aspect being in that industry. For the next few years those all aluminum trucks will have higher rates because very few shops are set up with aluminum rooms. Those that are set up can name there price almost and until the rest of the industry catches up the rates will be higher. There is no more patching a bad spot with new metal or aluminum, its all replace , becausenobody will warranty a patch panel.

I just bought a leftover 2014 F150 with the 5.0 and really like it. The EcoBoost was another 2K and for the minimal difference you'll see in mileage wasn't worth paying the extra money. Just my 2 cents.

Even if I had the cash I wouldn't psy 60k for a truck. That's insane.

They're good looking trucks, you just gotta figure out what's important feature-wise. That Platinum my buddy looked at had add-ons that drove the price up. Do you really need "massager seats" and a panoramic sunroof in a truck?

I ended up getting a 2015 lariat fx4 super crew. 52k sticker but bought $100 under invoice plus I got $1750 in rebates. Right at $45k. Happy with it so far.

I bought a 2014 fx4 with the 5.0 back in august last year. No complaints got it loaded out leveled with 33 and gets 14.3 in town. Went to dealership to get oil changed and checked out the 2015. Sticker price wasnt much different then what I paid for mine. They have added a bunch of new features reallly like the 360 camera. But to me with everything added I would hate to see what the repair bill on some of the options when they break.

get the 5.0--less moving parts=less shit to break! Plus the 5.0 is a proven engine

Got a 2002 that I brought new . It has 203,000 miles , and been very happy . Oh , it's a 4x4 V8 crew too . With that said , screw what they are asking for , that's crazy . Now this is the sad part , my buddy that was in the service can order a factory motor and transmission with install for 5500 with a warranty from Ford nation wide . So you it's time to replace , that's what I'm doing , more money for hunting , fishing , and etc .
