 non cdi coil part number.
Does anyone happen to have the 35 vanguard non cdi coil part number handy? Ive searched everywhere and cant locate the number on some regular old coils. Only cdi and high rev.

Re: non cdi coil part number.
Where are you searching? It's on the briggs website...just put in your model number and pull up the ipl.

Everywhere including their website. Model search doesnt come up with anything and gives me a message saying "dont give up" call for assistance. Waited on hold for a while and figured the FE's on here would come up woith one fairly easily.

Re: non cdi coil part number.
There are different coils depending when your motor was made, there is not just 1 set of non cdi coils. So, you need to know the date code of when your motor was made.

Re: non cdi coil part number.
There is only one set of non Cdi coils. There is a new style there wouldn't be two differnt kinds the flywheel is still the same The older non Cdi coils that probaly originally came on the motorare obselete. When I have a chance to get back to the house I will get u the part #

Re: non cdi coil part number.
Sorry I was in a hurry earlier and should have clarified this. There are 2 different part numbers available for coils for the non cdi motors. One of which is for an individual coil only, and a kit that has 2 coils and a timing key. The reason for the key is that the flywheels for the older model motors (I'd have to look it up but it is everything from about 02-06) are keyed differently than the 07ish-current model motors.
There is a misprint in some of the ipl's that say everything from 2010 and older needs the flywheel key, but they havent fixed it yet even though some of us have made numerous complaints.
