Both beers pictured below are 18.5% and 19% ABV. No joke.

New Belgium fat tire, shiner Bach, new Glarus spotted cow, two women, back 40 stag horn. Founders back woods bastard and their kbs Kentucky breakfast stout aged in burbon barrels! These are my go to brews but miller lite for everyday drinking. I actually store by special brews in the basement in a cool dark place and visit it a couple times a week to grab some samples or add to it. Just added greatlakes brewing dortmunder and some yuengling lager. My wife thinks I'm crazy for buying this tuff and only drinking it from time to time. But some of these beers are $13.00-$16.00 a 6 pack. The founders kbs is only brewed in small batches. The last I bought cost me a total with a buy ticket to guarantee me a purchase $48.00 for the 6 pack!!!!!! :D

Since I started the thread, I'll weigh in. Wiseacre Brewing here in Memphis has some good beer. Founders breakfast stout is really good. I don't think anyone has mentioned Southern Tier out of New York. All their stuff is good.

Tried a few IPAs this weekend. Never really cared for them but figured I'd give it another go. Found a few I actually really enjoyed, but maybe because its I was well on my way to funky town by the time the made their way into my glass.
A few were Magic Hat Dream Machine IPL, Goose Island Ten Hills, Sam Adams Rebel IPA, Harpoon IPA, and a few others I can't recall....

My go to is usually Grain Belt Nordeast, the Schell's brewery is only 20 mIles away so I gotta keep it local. Their Chimeny Sweep and Firebrick are tasty as well. Also been digging on Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Stout. Have a buddy who is a beer rep who hooks me up with free beers fairly often and in copious amounts. So i get lots of random weird beers. I like a lot of the stuff from Odell and the Alaskan Winter is good too. Mostly a stout and porter guy though. Love to travel and get into local beers wherever I go too.

That birthday shiner is good. I'm here in Texas so shiner is my go to. Should try their Bohemian black.

What is in your area as far as availability? Anything Lagunitas, Summit, Sierra Nevada, Stone....they all make great IPAs but without knowing whats on your local shelf, its hard to recommend anything.

All of the stuff from CO is pretty high gravity. Some of my favorites are (in no particular order)

Avery Brewing- White Rascal, Maharaja, Std. IPA
Oskar Blues- Momma's Little Yella Pils, Old Chub, Gubna, Dale's Pale Ale
Ska Brewing- Modus Hoperandi
Tommyknockers- Pickaxe IPA, Jack Whacker Wheat Ale, Alpine Glacier Pilsner, IPA & a half
Cannonball Creek Brewing- Featherweight Pale Ale, Mindbender IPA, Victorville Red

Others
Stone- IPA, Ruination IPA
Maui Brewing- Big Swell IPA
Ipswich Brewing- Ipswich Ale, Harvest Ale, IPA

I wouldn't say all of Colorados craft scene is 'high gravity'. Avery does brew a few in the 15-18% range but are limited in availability. Oskar Blues has a strong ale around 15%. Most craft brewers brew in final gravity according to style. A DIPA might run 10-12% and less. A RIS may run 10-21% depending on fermentation etc... Oskar Blues has 10Fidy and that brew is amazing...in a can too. They've also got Dales Pale, Gubna and Old Chub. They've got a choco marshmallow version of 10Fidy Id love to try.

Stone has recently discontinued Ruination which is a bummer. Their Enjoy By ipas are delicious.
