 Too much motor?
Not mm related.. But a friend of mine is selling his very nice, low hour 1988 3 cyl. 2 stroke 65 evinrude tiller. I want to buy it from him but I'm concerned it will be too much for my boat. The boat is a tracker grizzly 1648 tall transom. It says it's rated for 50, and its had a 2 cyl 55 on it for a while that did good. But the 65 weighs a good bit more than the 55. if any of yall have any experience running bigger tiller motors on a similar sized boat I'd really appreciate any feedback.

 Re: Too much motor?
I had a 14x48 custom hull with a 55 evinrude tiller for a while. I think you'll be fine with a 16x48.

 Re: Too much motor?
Search around the duck forums for a guy who goes by "jehler" he will tell you there's no such thing as overpowering. Dude knows his shit when it comes to outboards that are allegedly too big.
