I know it's jumping back a few topics but my 2 cents is set this association up to focus just on LA and as people find the need or will to form one in other states it can be modeled after LA's organization. Create LSWA - Louisiana Shallow Watercraft Association (or what ever name we come up with) and if one is created in TX, TSWA. As multiple states join in then a national level needs to be created. But for now the focus and "threat" is on state and lower levels.

For those of you concerned about the name, that is not cast in stone. But, I will tell you that I belonged to the Pelba Wildlife Protective Association, Inc. a nonprofit hunting club and we killed a hell of a lot of deer, ducks, squirrels, rabbits and woodcocks in the name of wildlife protection.

Too many "Shallow Water" companies registered in Louisiana. Would cause too much confusion.
