 Re: Best push pole?
Just checking back in after doing some serious getting unstuck poling this weekend. The hillside castings push pole foot welded to a 12' length of schedule 40 aluminum is definitely a winner! I was very happy with this set up! Thanks txmudcutter for reminding me of these guys!

 Re: Best push pole?
Just parked my boat in my buddy's barn down the road and it was my first time welding cast to extruded alum. Not pretty lol. But it works! I'll try to remember pictures next time I'm in it.

 Re: Best push pole?
Excuse the welds that look like a 5year old did it. I was rushing and didn't clean my material too well.

 Re: Best push pole?
I present the Puddle Pole. Paddle, Push Pole, Decoy Hook, and a Cajun Anchor/Spud all in one!! The tube is a lil over 1.5" o.d. (1/16" wall)

 Re: Best push pole?
You sir...are a genius. Spud pole one end and paddle / push duck bill he other end. Is the pin your coupling or do you have a thread pipe coupling. My spud poles are very thick and heavy, I just need to build a coupler and paddle pusher on the other end.

 Re: Best push pole?
I've been building these for a while now. I build out of schedule 80 because I usually end up using them as a pry bar. These 2 are schedule 40 and are plenty strong, they will be given away at Caddo.20150601_190356.jpg
