There always has to be a villain and in this case it is the flag. Removing the flag is not going to keep people from being racist. There has always been and will always be racism in all races and income levels. There are lots of people that hate whites, been around plenty of Cubans that hate Ricans and vise versa, plenty seem to look down on mexicans and there are plenty of all races that hate Jews. None of that really takes into count how much each religion looks down on the other religions.
Honestly, I am sick and tired of all the left wing political correctness. Interesting that they never stop moving left and continually cry foul no matter the circumstance. Liberals are killing this country and it is only going to get worse. Notice that a sworn socialist is now gaining steam in the Democratic primary. You only need to look at Greece or Venezuela to see what all those Socialist ideals get you. Eventually, you run out of the rich's money to fund all those "free" programs.

What's next they ganna try and take our guns? I just don't understand what the United States is coming to.

Rebel Flag makers can't keep up. The demand overwhelming. Stock up while u can.

It's political theater. If taking down the flag solves all black issues, racism, global warming, global cooling, climate change, Hillary being a lesbian, Bill being a philanderer, political gridlock, crooked politicians, green eco things, and so forth, then take it down. If not, then take your political, useless, grandstanding somewhere else.

The flag being taken down will mean nothing. There will be more blacks killed by other blacks this year than last. Their will be more blacks in poverty than there was on Jan 21, 2009. Nothing will change any of that. It is sad that feel good PC things are thought to make a difference but it will not.

All this is doing is demonizing white people. In the last 30 years whites have really wanted for blacks to join us in prosperity. But liberals have brought us all down. And one day, I believe whites will become more prejudiced because of the liberal BS to create a divide between us all.

if you forget your history, you are destined to repeat it.

People forget when the South was primarily made up of blue states.

I cannot change or atone for the past nor will I try, we can only strive to do a better job moving forward. The past is what it is good, bad or ugly, but they are all dead and gone for generations now, there is no way to try and pay restitution to the heirs of those that actually suffered.

The compensation has been paid many times over, those (insert ANY religion, nationality or race) that were oppressed in the past have been offered all the benefits our society has to offer. Equal rights and a fair chance at being successful in achieving the American Dream, but it requires hard work and a honest effort. Some people want you to still carry the burden of past sins, this load is easier to shoulder in good times but eventually becomes unmanageable for those that are told they have to carry it.

This succinctly explains why any iteration of the confederate flag is offensive:

It's Heritage not hate it's not the fault of all the Southern soldiers that died for a cause they believed in that these crazy people use the Southern flag as their banner and calling card. That wasn't what that flag was about all those years ago.

Well the democrats are wanting to take the American flag down now. Wtf are these people thinking?

I agree that the flag is not the problem.

However if we take a stand about the flag and spew loads of racist garbage then we cut our own throat.
I say "we" as southerners.

A lot of folks can't understand us. They don't know how we live and how we feel.
They don't know that we have black friends . They don't know that we share and share alike.

Their vision of us is a klan rally that is full of illegible illiterate racist speech.
So if yall want to talk a bunch of shit and cuss the blacks or the Mexicans or the Jews. You are too dense to realize that you are cutting your own throat and proving the point that the pc crowd is trying to make.

Every one of yall have a grandma or grandpa that would tell you how it was back when times were tough and 90 percent of all southerners didn't pay much attention to skin color when they was trying to survive.
When the politicians came along and started stirring it up things started to change and we all started to lose a little bit of our soul.
The struggle of the south supersedes racial lines.
Do some research. Talk to the old folks.
And for the sake of iit all think before you speak or type.

The confederate flag is not a sign of hate towards black people. It is the national flag of the Confederate States of America. This flag stood for freedom to the people of the CSA. It never stood for slavery or the hate of the black race.
