 A400 vs SBEII
Which one? I've had one gas gun that was better as a paper weight than a gun cause it was always having a problem. I have an SBEII now but I shouldered a few guns at the shop and the A400 feels awesome.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
I have a SBE and an A391. I admit the 391 is a very comfortable and smooth shooting gun but gets filthy pretty quick. I've never used it on too many hunts as I've had problems with gas guns in the past. I have been very impressed with the SBE. I have been shooting skeet/5 stand on nearly a weekly basis with this gun since the end of duck season. I completely stripped the gun down oiled greased it and replaced the action spring right after the season. I'm up to 6k rounds through that gun with doing nothing more then swabbing the barrel after each shoot. In those 6k rounds I have only had 1 misfire which was due to a faulty shell. I have full trust in my SBE.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
Just gonna say...this one has been hashed out a bunch on here and every other Internet forum remotely related to hunting and outdoors....and you gonna get all the opinions and brand loyalties. I've shot both....and currently own the A400 with kick-off.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
^x1000 this has been beat to death on a lot of forums. The bottom line is the SBE2 and A400 are both very good guns, its just a personal preference IMO which shoulders and fits the end user better. I have shot both and went with A400 and haven't had a minutes trouble but many of my buddies love their SBE2.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
A400 in my opinion. Have never shot a nicer waterfowl gun. Ever. The recoil reduction is amazing which allows for great second and third shot opportunities and cycles anything. I love the fit of the Benelli's but they are not even close to being as smooth as the Beretta. If you search this topic you will find a bunch of threads on it.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
I would be willing to bet most of the people that bash the other brand have never owned one and have just shot it once or twice.. Honestly those are the two top waterfowl guns in my opinion. I had a SBE2 and I absolutely loved it. Yeah the recoil was a little worse but it was tough as nails. I never could jam it and it was thrown around the boat and dropped in mud and freezing water numerous times. But the a400 is just as tough. My best friend and hunting partner has one and we switch guns all the time and I've shot at least a case through it in the last year or two. His recoil is softer, and the gun points very nice. Mine does have a little more recoil to it, but it swings very easily and is very well balanced. I trusted the sbe2 a little more as far as reliability.. Honestly pick which one fits you best. I found the benelli fit me better because I am long armed and have a very long neck. Pick up both and point and swing them at least a thousand times. The salesmen get pissed but it doesn't matter if you're dropping 1600+. They are very good guns and neither one is honestly better than the others.. But I've got a super Vinci now and it's better than both to me to be honest lol. So to each his own!!

You need to shoot them. SBEII is a good gun. I prefer Beretta because it fits me. I've had 2 Benellis and shot the super Vinci before I got the A400. It fit me better so that's what I shoot. A5 shoots nice as well if the A400 fits ya

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
Let's throw this out there.....
How about the a300. How does this compare to the above listed? I have no need for a 3.5 inch shell

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
I have them both and they are both nice guns. I loved my extrema 2 but decided to trade out for an a400 this summer. I will say that I've noticed the you can't get as much stock drop on the new a400 as I could on my extrema 2. Beretta says they are the same, but I find I'm looking down on the barrel of my a400 a lot. I have to really focus on getting my head down on the a400 and I've got the shim in it with the most drop. Just and fyi for ya.
The SBE2 has a nice, high rib that makes it easy to sight down. Best advice is try them both and get the one that fits you best.

 Re: A400 vs SBEII
Having one of each I'd have to say A400 it fits me better and I like the weight of it. The benelli is almost to light.
