 Heavy Shot Rebate
Heavy shot is running a 50$/case rebate w/limit of 3. Mack's prairie Wings has the 3" for 219$. With the rebate it comes out to 169$ a case which puts them in line with kents and others etc....
I don't buy them normally because they are too expensive, but last year i shot a couple of boxes and liked them. I bought some this year only because of the rebate.
Hope this helps someone save some money.

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
Maybe the ones this year won't go off like a cap gun and stick the wad in the barrel

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
Been hearing the rave's over Hevi Metal for a few years now.....are they that much superior than most other shells?? I've been shooting Kent Fasteel 3" 1 3/8oz #4's and like them....trying to get opinions on if the Hevi Metal are really that much superior before I go that route??

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
I got a lot number that was supposed to be good, but they still had a couple bad ones. I have shot them past 3 seasons using the rebates. I'll be getting another case. I will say if you like to shoot 3s get like 2s or 1s, because of the smaller shot on the Hevi metals. I have been shooting the 1s, can't complain for the money.

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
I shot two boxes last year and liked them. I found I had less cripples and dish ragged a few pretty far ones also. I normally shoot Kent's but with the rebate they are the same price as the kents. I ordered a case of 3.5" and 3" if that tells you anything. Kent's are very good too. I'm just going to shoot strickly HM to get a bigger picture if they 're really superior.

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
Hevi metal is the way to go for ducks. Way less cripples, my duck gun doesn't have a bead, so If I can shoot a gun with no site and get less cripples, like almost none, I'm sure the guy that has a bead on his shotgun might even do better. I've found the 3.5" pattern like carp out of my gun if I don't use my long tube, but most times the long tube isn't necessary

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
We shoot alot of cans. The extra thump of the denser shot does make a difference for us. Nothing worse than trying to chase down a crippled diver acRoss big water.

 Re: Heavy Shot Rebate
I am shooting them this year based on a friends personal experience with it plus others on here. We shoot mostly divers and can spend a good portion of a box of shells shooting cripples on the water if they fall outside 30 yards. If Heavy Metal can help eliminate cripples and kill the few cripples on the water more easily, I am all for it! I am looking forward to trying them out of the 20 gauge as well.
