Was anyone planning on doing a ride again this year in August?

Im down to do it anyone will come. Just need to get a date picked in plenty of advance so anyone who comes can get off work. I know i need at least a 2 weeks notice and im sure alot of other people do to. I'll help out anywhere needed if we can get some people

I could probably do something middle to the end of the month.

Pick a date. Starting to get close bird season, but I might able to make one last ride.

How does second to last weekend in August sound? 22-23? Enough notice for everyone and still a few weeks out of teal season.

Just for kicks had a great run down in Port Aransas behind Mustang Island the other morning...
Some pretty clear water down that way --- just too many kayaks hiding in the marsh grass
down there and I'm not sure they ever see any MMs there from the looks on their faces ---

It'll be down to the wire for me. I finished pulling foam out the front two days ago and starting on the back today. I still have welding, paint, and GG. I'll be pushing to get it done.

For me the latter the better. I usually work Saturday mornings so a Sunday would be best. If yall pick a date I'll try like hell to make it.

I don't know about a Sunday, in the past Sundays haven't been to promising for rides especially small ones.

I work the 15-16 but I'm off the 22-23

23rd would be my best bet but if your anxious about having it on a Sunday I may be able to sneak out of work that Saturday.

I'm down long as I don't have to work OT. I'm just wondering after watching past video of Yalls rides, do Yall think a 20/72 will make it through all the trees and obstacles on the way to the big water/mud ?

The biggest question isn't the bottom on that boat, it's the beam and the amount of flare that battleship is going to have. I know I rubbed down both sides in mine with a 75" beam in a couple places.

Oh it'll make it for sure. Just depends on how sporty you wanna make it

I run my 1860 into there all the tike without a problem. I go into the "secret lake" no problem too. The lillys have about washed out of miller other than one raft at the entrance that make it a pain in the ass to get in.
But honestly i was planning on going down towards the marsh, alot more rideing to be done over there and its tidal to theres a chance of finding alittle mud. I went out yesterday before work and found some, not alot but some.

If my boat ( battleship lol ) can fit or if their is an alternate route I can take I'm down.

They weren't easy to get ahold of this year with the new WMA rules but I managed to scoop up enough to be able to hunt when I'm off work. Hopefully they move thru good, the damn tags were high as hell this yr!!!
