prodigy owners I would like some info
Any info on performance and boat type would be greatly appreciated.. I've been looking and chatting with Chad lately but would love to get some first hand info from the owners and drivers of the rigs 18x54 Center Console or any 18x54. Thanks

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
I have an 1854 that I am very happy with. The big boats are nice for stability and hauling a load but you give up a little speed due to the weight and size. It turns well with a load but will slide some without. What specifically are you interested in or worried about?

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
We all worry about speed in theses things but im more concerned about loaded speed and turning. My 17x54 GTB used to slide to Cuba if I wasn't careful. I'm hoping its not as bad.. I norm duck hunt with a 3 man load, and at time have a 12mile run down river loaded for a weekend camping / hunting trip. So speed is somethin im worried about. How does yours run and what are you rumning

Conditions tested in, approx weight in boat when tested. 5. Size of boat, layout, things you like or dislike about it. 6. Please don't ask ?'s in your review, ask questions in the CMF Forum 7. Please post as many pictures as you want. 8. All pros & cons about entire set up, how it runs in mud etc.. 9. If you don't see your post here, its because it didn't follow these simple rules. You won't be notified either. 10. Once again only post reviews of mud motors and boats here, all first post that ask for advice will be moved.

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
I have a square nose 18/54 3/16 bottom decked out and it's bad heavy. I'm running a stock 37 GTR. It runs constant 27 and bumps 28 at times. I will say a load kills speed quickly

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
Mine is an 1854 duck bill, couple of half boxes, extended removable deck, hydro turf, rear deck, catwalks and shelves. I am running a 35 GTR with heads, exhaust and carb. I run right at 30 with light load. I have had as many as 5 guys and a couple coolers in it and ran around 23. Normal hunting load with 3 guys 25 or 26. It will slide some depending on load but a quick burp on the throttle and all is well. If you carry a lot of weight on a regular basis then I would recommend the upgrades on the motor. It really increases the load carrying ability like crazy from everything I have seen and read.

It's 1/8th sides 3/16 bottom everything adds up quickly. Especially with 12 gallons of gas and me weighing 275 lol

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
I don't get the whole heavy argument or concern. Put more shit in it and it gets heavier. I would think the difference from manufacturer to manufacturer on a base package would be negligible when comparing similar lengths and widths.

Re: prodigy owners I would like some info
I have a 16/51 prodigy duck bill front open design. .125 with 21" sides an drop deck. Full floors an front deck. Stock 35 mudbuddy. Will run 25 no problem with me, wife, son, full pelican 45, fishing poles, tackle box, life jackets an stuff. Does slide with just me an my son an cooler when all out turning. But if you slightly let off entering turns its fine. Planes out quick with load. Overall handles great and is very stable. Im 200lbs an can climb in the side with no problems. Seems very durable so far an well built. Speed was at 4000rpms on stock motor. Duck bill front and drop deck are excellent spots to relieve yourself. An the wife can hang off the side holding the grab bar. Good luck.
