I'm thinking about the new 40 HP Kohler MB on the 17X46 GT boat...anyone running anything close to this combination?

Didn't mb steal gt's design? If so the motor should work fine on a gt boat.

If I had a mudbuddy on a GT boat wouldnt that be like satan inviting jesus to his birthday party. Kind of taboo with the history and all.

that would be a huge insult to GT. almost like tellin GT their motor and design wasnt good enough

Could not agree more. Seems to be contagious. Some people have to attack a decision that they did not make. There are those on all sides that seems to be haters not helpers. It is very disheartening to see knowledgeable people attacked for making an attempt to help others. Some of you need to chill out. Some of this is in fun. Well sorry to disappoint the purist but it looks like I'm going to put the MB 40HP Kohler on one of fine boats built by the gents at GT...17x46 with drop deck......

I'm just curious, why would you get a Gator-Tail boat instead of a Gator Trax with a hunt deck? It's actually made for the motor you're buying. I've got a lead on a 2009 18x50 huntdeck for $6300 with trailer.
