Im stuck between:

1. Simms G3
2. Cabelas Instinct Accelerator
3. Lacrosse Aero Tuff
4. Lacrosse Swamp Fox
5. Banded Redzone

Anyone have any suggestions? Looking for something lightweight, Flexible, and with a comfortable boot that you won't freeze wearing in cold but also won't sweat when temps are up..

I'd get the cabelas brand just for the lifetime warranty. I've had a pair of the cabelas breathables for 3 years now and still not a leak.

I've never had any issue with the cabelas warranty. We do have a store here locally, so I can go in person. The last pair I swapped was about two and a half years old and they didn't even bat an eye about it.

We were told when purchasing them that they consider the "lifetime" of a pair of waders to be 3 years though.

I bought a pair of banded redzone last year because neo waders shit out. Comfortable as can be but the condensated. I returned them to macks because I didn't think it was right but the second pair do the same. I don't notice it as much if I leave them in the boat on the ride to ramp to get the temp as close to the water temp but still get damp in spots. Take that for what its worth.

Thanks for the input! Would y'all recommend boot foot or stocking foot? Ive been told the stocking foot was way more comfortable… Ive never worn anything but boot foot

I'm in the same position as you and am probably going to go with the lacrosse swamp fox. Lacrosse is all I used to wear and I don't know why I ever switched over to these dang Drake waders.

I had some of the swamp fox breathables and liked them alot. When they started leaking, lacrosse wasn't making a breathable wader anymore. They did replace them with the most expensive neo's they offered at no cost, and I gave those to my lil bro in exchange for a set of the cabelas breathables. Been with those ever since, and have no complaints. They're all gonna leak at some point, but I've had outstanding customer service with both cabelas and lacrosse.

Hows the boot design in the Lacrosse Vs. The Cabelas?

I didn't have any issues with either. I wear them tight, cause I hate it when my feet pull out of the boot walkin in the mud. Makes for a big pain in the ass trying to get them back off at the ramp, but I'd rather deal with that, then be stuck in the mud. They're both comfortable to me, not too hot when it's hot, and not too cold when it's cold...I usually do a lot of walking around when we hunt too. Neither really gave me any more trouble than any others.

Orvis made a pair of bootfoot waders with lace up shoes that always looked really interesting to me. Just never could justify spending 500 bucks on a pair of waders. They are supposed to have one of the best warranties in the business, but god damn they're expensive..

Swamp fox here.... I wade... ALOT and they are good to me. Most of my hunting buddies wear those or cabelas dry plus

Simms G3s are dam good waders, if you plan on using them out of a boat they would work just fine. And definatly go boot foot if you plan on hunting in freezing tempatures..

I work in my Simms G3 in the spring and fall. I never thought about taking a pair of "Fly Fishing" waders to the bottoms of TN. I did and found out some really nice features. Walking through the 1-2' of mud your feet don't feel like they are about to pull out like a boot foot wader does. I like the stocking foot Simms waders but... I don't like how thin they are. I wished some company would make a thicker breathable wader.

I had a pair of stocking foot years ago and the were comfortable until you started getting mud, acorns, cypress needles, sand, and shells in your shoes. Then the don't last long.

The lacrosse were always good waders for me the alpha swamp lasted many seasons and no leaks until I had to go and fall into a briar patch. No waders would have made it out of that spot.

I mostly hunt out of a boat now and use the jacks waist waders. Basically glorified hip boots but you don't get a wet ass in the rain.

I love my cabelas waders, but if you have to have things shipped to you with no local store they are not as liberal with their warranty

I have the expensive Orvis waders CB mentioned... 6 years & counting. I also get 40% off so I can justify it.

Who woulda thunk it?

I've had a pair of Magellan stocking foot fishing waders for close to seven years. They started taking on a little water this year. Not bad, but I guess it's time to get a new pair. Luckily it ain't cold in SW la marsh so I can handle a little dampness thru teal season.

LaCrosse Alpha Swampfox. Very comfortable, never had an issue with being too cold, and the boot design is awesome. Hold up well too.

Ordered a set of the Rogers Toughman Supreme breathe able waders. They got here today and they look really nice for the money. They fit great and are comfy, seems like I can move around a lot better than the 5 mm neoprene. $189 shipped. The boots have 1200 grams and the boot size is true to my shoe size. The knees and ass have corduroy fabric for added abrasion protection. Hope they last a good while.

My problem with hip boots and waders is I have a very wide foot and high instep. Most boots constrict at ankle and instep making them uncomfortable. Bout only rubber boot I can wear are the ones with the full length upper zipper on the side kind. Others I can't get off and on without a struggle. Anyone know of hipboot or wader designed with boots that zip up or offer boot sizes to accommodate a foot like mine?

I had several hunts to test out the Frogg Toggs stocking foot breathables and dive boot combo this teal season. Let me just say that's the most comfortable, easiest wading I've ever done in some of the worst mud and crud I've ever done it in! No crap in the boots (built in gaiters) and no boots trying to pull off, plus you can really feel whats underfoot. I'm not sure I'll ever buy another pair of the bootfoot style after these last two weeks. Dive boot needed to be two sizes bigger than normal sizing to compensate for wader bootie FYI.
