 Waterproofing Clothing
I am looking to waterproof some stuff for the wetter winter they are predicting. Mostly some clothing. What do you boys use to do that.
anyone ever use something called nikwax?

I've heard nikwax is the best and they have a detergent for waterproof breatheable gear.

get a heatgun and a block of wax and go to town on whatever you want waterproofed

This is what I use on cotton and canvas material. It's a lengthy process but works well.

Hmmm, haven't seen all that, may have to get on YouTube and take a look. I just wash and dry what ever I'm about to water proof right before I do it. Then I just lay it flat on a table or my hardwood floor and I go to town rubbing the wax in to the material, once it's got a good coating I go over it with a hot iron real good. Then I let it sit, usually over night cause I'm tired of fooling with it, then I'll apply another coating or two the m same way I did the first.
