 Led head light/ coon light
Saw a 1800 lumen led head lamp for sale . Some are cheap and not bright as they claim on websites like Amazon or ebay. Does anyone know of a good but cheaper light . Gonna use it as a driving light when driving boat at night. Thought maybe some use it to hunt coons or hogs

 Led head light/ coon light
I got a coon light for driving. Not cheap by any means but well worth it for me. Laser torch pro is the name. 6 adjustable settings. The low setting stays on for a week almost and the highest power gets 5-6 hours. Lite as a feather compared to those aircraft bulbs. Just not a good frogging light.

Re: Led head light/ coon light
I've been using a Kohree 10w LED mining/hunting light that I got off Amazon lately for around $75 that's been fairly impressive. The light output is comparable to the very high end coon lights and the quality is plenty sufficient unless someone is the type to tear up an anvil with a turkey feather! This one has a decently wide beam and great halo with 4 easy to use light settings. Long run time on high also. Comes with a three strap headband that'll work but I put it on a cap so the battery pack balances out the lamp weight and keeps everything compact as it's actually a belt style. It's VERY BRIGHT, you don't just spot the critters eyes you see the whole critter from a LONG way off...

That pic of my nephew last night shows the light beam on his left and gives an idea of the halo. Pic was taken w/o flash

Re: Led head light/ coon light
Man it actually pretty bright. It's not the best quality made but it's just at bright as a 3 million candlelight q beam. It's probably a Lil brighter . I ranged it light shows up at 450 yards . Anythi ng under 250 is pretty detailed . It's more or less a spot light for you head . I think it's pretty bad ass for only 25 bucks

Re: Led head light/ coon light
http://www.lcsupply.com/LED-SUPER-SMART ... tinfo/HL3/Think I'm about to pull the trigger on this light. Seems very similar to the one posted by Bug except it has high/low instead of 4 settings, a smaller battery, and a shortened cord that is designed to be used on a cap. Oh yeah and it's $130. The hat will run you about $20 with the Kohree, so in the end it's about a $30-$40 increase. I'm just digging the 2-mode light setting and the shortened cord mainly.

Re: Led head light/ coon light
How's that model Smoke? The one I've been using is doing great, no issues and lots of hours of use so far.

Re: Led head light/ coon light
A buddy of mine put a Rigid Industries SR-M spot on a hard hat to use as a light to drive at night and a frogging hat and it's pretty crazy bright. After using it and being quite impressed he took it a step further and bought an SR-Q Spot which is double the light and its incredible. For about 130-140$ and with a little know how, you can put this together and have an extremely bright setup!
