ah. I like my ranger, but with all the water and mud on our lease and all the f'n rain we get here, just thought the transmission might be better, but I'm sure its way more expensive to repair than the belt.

my cousins stuff stays in the water. If it slips, he just puts it in neutral and revs if to sling it the water off.. (if it gets in there)

I will only own Polaris from now on. I've had my ranger deep enough to float a yeti in the bed and it never checked up.

I have the same rig as you but I dam sure couldn't see putting it in the mud. It sees a little bit but I don't do it for fun. It's nice to have something for almost 3 years and not have to fix anything on it! Dam thing is way too expensive to be fukkin up!

 Re: Side x Side's
Polaris is a toy compared to a Kawasaki Mule Pro. The Kawasaki looks like a truck underneath compared to a Polaris. It all depends on what you want one for I guess, work or play. The vast majority of what I've learned from dealers and owners is Polaris' break and the parts are expensive as shit. Polaris is a 6 month warrant & folks push them way too hard. Mule Pro has a 3 year warranty, that tells me alot.

Seems like the Yamaha's ain't getting much love on this thread. But I have a Yamaha Viking and love it. Not into the mudding thing. I use mine for hunting and working at the deer camp.

 Re: Side x Side's
We ran a 6 seater Viking a while back and it was a nice machine. Now we have a Wolverine and it's pretty nice too but not really sure how much different it is from the 3 seater Viking.

 Re: Side x Side's
The Wolvie is pretty close to the Viking. A little smaller and a little sportier. It's definitely more play than work.

 Re: Side x Side's
They stopped making the rhinos because the japs that were using them in the plants kept turning them over and suing Yamaha for a "poor design" my dad has the 700 efi rhino and has only come close to turning it over once but he was acting like a idiot when he did it.

I rolled a rhino over once. I was being an idiot doing donuts and it bit and rolled.

Looks good. That driver front tire running the tread backwards on purpose? Buddy of mine used to run Ground Hawgs on his Bronco backwards on the front so he could reverse out da hole better.

I was going to buy a new one but then this one popped up. Buddy needed some quick cash. Got 5k in it. I'm more than happy.

 Re: Side x Side's
I've had great luck outa my polaris's. I have had a few of them and had no real major issues outa them. Last one I just got rid of had about 4500 miles on it with very little issues. Just got a 2016 900 a couple months ago and already have over 600 miles on it, so far so good. I also am running a kabota 900 diesel with the hydraulic dump bed on it. It's defiantly a work horse for sure but that's only if it's and flat dry ground. It doesn't like the hills or mud at all. Another draw back to the kabota is how heavy the damn thing is, none of my other machines will pull it out if you get it stuck. Here is what I usually have to do when it gets stuck.

 Re: Side x Side's
I bought my daughter a "Coolster" chinese four wheel. Its a 110CC Honda Clone. Its actually been a pretty good machine, just needed to go over everything with a fine tooth comb. Make sure everything was tight and connected, and that everything is aligned correctly. I don't know about spending the money on a high dollar side by side clone, but the ATVs are a bargin.
I ride a Maverick that I've added rear seats and a cage extension. Its mainly for play and it gets me by for work. Hard to beat a Ranger though!
