Not hard and well worth the money. Theres a couple of people on here including myself who went through the process.

How do you know where to puy the consol in the boat what i mean is how close to the front or back of the boat ? And does the consol come with the kit or do you have to make one ?

Like quack said put the console where you want. I can get you a measurement tomm of where I put mine. You can buy a kit from who ever you got the motor from Im sure. Its cheaper to buy your parts from other places.

My recomendation is if you dont need the open floor space go with the CC it is very nice to drive with your feet cocked up on the side of the boat and a cold beerage in your hand.

Go with hyd steering. I got my unit from http://www.foreandaftmarine.com. All together it cost me under 1 grand to convert my till to steering. Even with the CC i still find I have lots of room.

i have the new teleflex and i did not have any problem with it turning in the mud this weekend. the teleflex with the anti-feed back it horrible DO NOT get it!!!!!

I have a 18x48 center console prodrive. only a few hours on it so far... but lots of hours on a tiller in my past. the hydro steering is definitely worth the extra money in my opinion. I really like mine, a whole lot! it's not hard to do when you get the hang of it.
