Went to the Sportsman's show today. Anyone notice that this must be the year of the ice chest. I do not know if I have ever seen so many different kinds, and new ones. The only one I did not see was the Yeti. LOL. So that reusable ice that comes in flexible sheets, anyone have any experience with them?

What else new did you see?

Two other things I saw was the sawsall with he filet blades on it. And the new gator trax hydro turf with the waffled texture. It will keep it from deteriorating so fast.

The la sportsman shows are way better than the knockoff stuff we get here. I'm jealous

It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

Dang! Traffic backed up all the way to LA-30 and towards I-10 @ 10:30 in the morning!

The people with mud motor businesses should learn how to work a trade show like this. Only people that seemed to be interested in me was Gator Trax and I bought my boat used from someone else.

So I go into the pro drive booth. I see a motor that looks different. I am assuming it had FPR and electric reverse. Or at least that was what I thought after looking at it. No one came to talk to me at all, even though I was molesting the motor pretty well. Then I leave, and go back with my nephew to show him how the FPR works on the motor and pointing to the new controls on the tiller thinking that it was electric reverse. Again, no one came to talk to me. They were too busy talking amongst themselves all having vendor tags on. This is a chance to make a good impression not. I passed in GatorTail, they never have anything to say in there to me either. Go Devil was the same.

I go inside and look at the bay boats and I was greeted by a bunch of people. Those in the little booths all try to make eye contact and say hello, show me their stuff.

The best sales person beside Kent Saxon was this little girl, that was in 6th grade that sold me a raffle ticket for $20. She was standing in the middle of the aisle. She was working for her daddy. She told me all about it in 10 seconds and how my money was going to help bring the disabled hunting and fishing. Wow, from a 12 year old, she should have been in the Pro Drive booth.
