Our group has dropped to 2 boats and 8 people but still looking forward to a great weekend!

2 boats... 6 folks. Staying at packs. Looking forward to it! Pretty sure we are running station 1 on sat. Holler at me.

I'll be there Thursday. Staying at the Kings, 3-4 boats 9-10 people

I'll be there with my boat and 4 of us. Staying at Elliotts campground. Its our first time so not sure what to expect but looks fun.

SCmudder, do you know if they're going to run it the same way as last year, or back the other way

It seems like they have to run it the old way due to the amount of water running through the swamp . I liked it better last year but looks like ma nature is not cooperating this time.

I think I'm gonna partake in this years run finally. I've always been fly fishing in the keys the first week of June so I've never got to attend. I just wanted to ask a few questions:
1. Do you have to register or does everyone just show up?
2. Does anyone know the water level? I haven't been down there since Sept when the water was down about 3-4 ft.
3. Is anyone else camping on the river or in the swamp? I won't be able to come down till early sat. morning or if I'm lucky, fri. afternoon. Just need a spot to pitch my little tent if anyone has enough space nearby.

There's a link above in one of the posts with the pictures that takes you to the water level. Registration is easy just email it to that address they have listed. Thats what I did.

There's usually a party at packs Friday night. You can register there if you didn't pre register

If you come in Saturday morning, get there around 7 or you're going to be stuck in a long line for registering and putting the boat in.

Was told there is a DJ for Friday night at Packs. Think it's the same one from last year.

Like I told him, be ready to get that ass stomped!

Turns out some guys with more seniority than me bumped me for taking Friday night off and I have no more sick days to use, So sadly I won't be there on Sat. But if there's a good many of ya'll gonna ride the Cooper Sunday let me know where and what time. I'd enjoy riding and meeting most of ya'll.

There will be a big crowd on the Cooper. Bushy Park Landing at 12 on Sunday

We head to Yellow House flat. Come out of bushy park like you're going back to Cypress then turn right and run the creek to the flats. And then some people run the river past naval station.

We will be at packs look for two big RVs unless we can get the spot at Elliots.

You check with packs? I bet they are full already. My crew and I will be at station 1. Not sure if I will go through the run sat or not. I will be all over fri tho. Might have a big ass Gadsden flag... might not. I will have a shiny poling platform tho. That is hard to miss.

Meet rice runner as well, good dude. Don't feel bad slayer I slung a blade of my prop with 19 hours on it, in the open river, on Friday up near the 601 bridge.

We were staying at the Kings. Had one buddy pull my boat to Elliot's while another drove me there, hitched a ride back to kings to get the truck and trailer. Then the damn weld on my tiller broke leaving the sandbar on sat. Wasn't my weekend

Dang my hour meter went out with 13 hours on it on my ride back on the river...and I thought I was pissed about that, sounds like it could have been worse!
