Post Transmission leak
Running a few crawfish traps after work today with the GTR and noticed an oil sheen behind me. Checked for oil leaks on the motor and found none. When I got home I pulled the clutch cover and found that the back of the tranny was wet with oil. The fill/drain screws were tight. Oil was flung all inside of the cover. I cleaned it all up and checked the oil level. It seemed fine. This ever happened to anyone? Is there any kind of vent on the tranny or anything, or would this mean there is a leak somewhere?

You sure it isn't a leaking brake fluid? I overheated mine when I was still on the learning curve the plastic hose split and I shot brake fluid on the inside of the cover.

Go ahead and change your fluids again and clean everything up. The two drain screws have seals on them make sure you haven't lost those...

When you changed da transmision fluid you probably spilt a little and while ridin da water splashed up while in reverse and washed it down da back of da belt housing. Dis happened to me once, left a big oil slick every where I went. When I got home I searched all over for leaks and found none. Clean it up real good and fab you up a little gutter system to use when changing da fluid. A little bit of oil goes a long way on da water and makes for unnecessary stress.

Wipe the seal on the back of the tranny and get it clean, start up the motor and run the rpms up drop it in and out of gear put it in reverse and then shut it down. Check out the seal then, you may see fine little droplets of oil on the seal if that is the problem. I saw that one time before, the motor that was doing it was also putting oil on the water and inside the cover also.

Dude, the back of the tranny is gonna stay a little moist. It just happens, I know you are worried about anything you find, But you will come to realize how much abuse these things take. As long as oil is pouring out your fine. Im not putting a gree gree on you but I bet once you hit bout 65-100 hours your case gasket is gonna leak. LOL Mine is at 70.

i agree it will stay moist but if you have oil coming out of the cover and running down the belt housing after about an hour of running, then you have a leak.
