 gas filter for EFI??
OK, the 26.5 Kohler EFI BW LT came with an ITW Fastex 15-034 inline gas filter. I have searched the Fastex site and this type does not even appear!! The manual states and the motor sticker clearly states to use a "10 micron" gas filter or it won't run right. I have searched Amazon, Fastex, internet sites, local lawnmower shop, auto parts, and nothing! There is an Oregon can type filter for sale that is rated for 10 micron but it is metal, prefer clear view and not sure about application. hawilson, any ideas?? I would appreciate any info or part number to replace this! It is brand new but do plan on changing after 25 hours (have only 5 now). I am assuming anyone running the 37 EFI Vanguard motor probably uses the same type. Thanks!!

 Re: gas filter for EFI??
Glades, I use a RACOR water separator/filter. Specifically I use the spin on element S3227. It is 10 micron. It is the same setup I use in my bigger boat. I do not use the inline filters you see on most mud motors. I wanted a water separator as well as a filter. A sight glass may come in handy sometimes though. Never had an issue with the RACORS yet, and did have one catch a significant amount of water once on my other boat. The BW 26.5, so far, and my original mudbuddy 35 hp never had an issue with the RACORS.

Meant to add that I change the filter roughly every 50 hours which is about when I change my oil.

 Re: gas filter for EFI??
Seems Kohler makes a 10 micron inline filter, 2505042S . It is listed as a part for the ech749. https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks ... ech630-749Also, on the bottom of that page they list a few more inline fuel filters. Another Kohler, 2405013S, and 3 universal fits.
