Is it just me or does it seem like there is almost a news blackout on what's been going on here in Louisiana with the flooding?

I mean, really...on the radio today, national news outlet gives a 10 second spot to the subject talking about a cat clinging to its owner after being rescued from their home.....and that was it.

Hit Yahoo news on the web and if you search the news section hard enough, you find a blurb or two.

What are you guys from out of state hearing and seeing on the news?

It's on every app I have. It's been on local news (Atlanta)

That's good to know....I don't get any "app" news feeds....guess I'm still too old school. I'm bouncing around some of the cable networks and not seeing anything.

It is all over the news here in Florida. With my job the weather channel is on all day. It is alot of coverage on there as well.

I havent seen as much coverage as I would have expected.

Lots of coverage on the news in Texas.

Seen updates/pictures pretty much everyday for almost a week up here in WI on the local news. Prayers to yall down there.

I get all my news from my local stations posting articles to Twitter and there is coverage there.

The most coverage I see is through social media.
Friends with lots of you guys on Facebook and that is where I see it.

Houston news has been doing a good job of covering everything as it unfolds.. National news... not so much.

My hats off to all of you that are out there helping.

Was out there all day yesterday. Really couldn't take it all in until we headed back home. Just draw dropping with the magnitude of flooding that occurred !

So, is everybody seeing the news on their local major network affiliates? On the major network news broadcasts? Both?

Ironically....a CNN producer contacted me, today. We had a long conversation about what's going on down here, mudmotors, the Cajun Navy, etc. Might get some air time in the near future.

it's bad enough seeing the local news people screwup a news story, but I want to stick a needle in my eyes and ears when the national whine-ers get on there and act like they give 2 sheets about ''that land mass west of new orleans'. lol
if there ain't a bunch of negras floundering around because 'bush blew up the levee'', they don't care.

And there it is....my 0:00.15 seconds of fame on CNN...LOL
