Post 12" big blade
I measured my prop and it's 11 7/8" tip to tip. It has some wear but I don't think it's trashed. With that said I am having a hard time keeping my RPMs down in my stock 37 HDR. I will be running half throttle and maintaining 4300+ RPM's when I have it trimmed right. If I trim down I can lower those RPMs but u have zero rooster tail and it makes it harder to steer. What do you guys think, is it a worn prop or other issue?

It's not only overall diameter that plays into prop inefficiency. Looks like you've lost a good bit of leading edge and blade width, just by eyeball glance. I'd definitely recommend a new prop or having yours reworked at this point.

Thanks. I am going to get a new prop but figured I would hold on to this one as a spears. What's the price difference on a new one vs a reworked one? I would think new would be better overall but I could be wrong as I'm not an expert on props.

That props toast, it would be a usable spare or trot line weight.

The main advantage to having a prop reworked (assuming your prop guy is familiar with surface-piercing props) is that your prop can be tailored to your rig and your uses. It's usually cheaper than a new one by a good bit. I'd recommend having that one reworked and hang onto it for spare and toss on a new one. That way, once the new one starts losing performance, swap to your spare, have the other reworked, and you can keep two (or more if you want) in rotation.

The biggest problem I've experienced with rebuilt props in general is that there's typically a bit of inconsistency in the results. You may experience different though.

If you're going to run a surface drive in GA, you need a minimum of 1 spare prop. Eventually you will start taking it a little easier in shallow sandy areas because props are not cheap and it only takes a few minutes to burn one up in the wrong conditions. I would see if you can have that prop worked.

My plan was to pick up a next prop so k would have a spare next month when I went back up to prodigy to get my motor painted. What is a good company to use for reworking a prop? Thanks for the help guys.

I've had LA Prop do one and Baggy did the other. Was pleased with both

$90 to rework my prop, that's much better than a new! I am going to buy a new one just got to decide between a three blade or go back with the big blade. Anyone have any experience with the 3 blade on a stock 37?

Might be ok, I have worked 3 blade on stage 2 and love it. Mainly open water prop tho. Like river or open lake running
