Post Is this cup worn enough to kill load performance? PICS
I've got a new to me 06 35MB HD with 42mm mikuni, true duals, and Governor delete. It's running a 12.25x10 right now with 38/50 gearing. I ran several times with me 280, and another guy and a dog, no gear, in a .100 1744 custom mud hull and ran 4300rpms getting about 25mph bumping 26mph in deep water. I put a serious load in the boat, me, and 3 guys, dog, and gear for the first time this weekend, and performance was awful. Motor was running 4150ish and never put the boat on step, maybe 12mph. Prop measures right around 12". Was wondering if a new prop with fresh cup would help it bite and get moving better. Tried trimming up and down to no avail. This prop seems like the outer edge cup is nearly gone. Any thoughts fellas?? My finger is about where the prop cup runs out

A new prop is a good place to start. A 44 wide rig will have a hard time loaded that big

Doesn't make sense why one blade is worn out more than the other.....I'd call whoever sold you that prop.

Prop won't help much with that load, you have reached the threshold of that's all you get without doing more mods. Some head work would compliment the carb and exhaust and really help it out.

Wouldn't the motor bog down if he needed more mods? Still turning over 4K seems ok.

I'd start with a new prop.

I would think by looking at that it is out of balance. I got a hammer wore like that but its even on both blades. IMO your boat is being all it can be with the load your talking about without further mods to increase your hp and rpms.
