 BB tearing up motor whats this I hear that a BB with vibrate so bad and tear your motor up and cause lower unit to crack ?

Re: BB tearing up motor I would think anybody with any kind of sense would realise the prop is off balance far before it gets bad enough to cause damage to the LU.

Re: BB tearing up motor Some of them do vibrate like a sumbitch. I cant comment on them hurting parts or not. Ive ran some that were clean with little vibration. One of the worst ones on a gtr was WAY bad. I checked weight and pitch for balance and its was dead on. I cant explain why some are worse than others

im with though you should be able to tell something is wrong way before you tear it up

Re: BB tearing up motor Vibration in these motors will wreck some stuff....and it's not limited to any one particular prop manufacturer.
You get prop wear, you get out of balance.
Out of balance causes vibration.
Vibration causes fatigue.
Fatigue leads to failure....somewhere.
Depending on the brand motor will dictate where it fails.
