Finally found the time to make contact with Gator Tail. Spoke to Lisa (who was very nice). She advised that the service manager (Hoyt) normally makes the call on the charges but she went ahead and removed them.

Re: GTR Lower Unit Crack... Have the cast lower units been having that many problems? I had a 2013 GTR (machined lower unit) and just ordered a new one (cast lower unit). I was asked if I wanted to wait 2 more months for the GTRXD and I said no. Kinda makes me wonder...

Re: GTR Lower Unit Crack... The cast lower unit is stiff. It will be fine AS LONG as your prop is balance and granted you don't lose a blade on a prop. That's when the SHit hits the fan. Wipes out the lower unit housing and sometimes the belt housing aswell. He asked you if you wanted to wait for a reason.
