Post northern flight blind
any reviews? it looks like it hides well in the pics on the website but they probably spent hours to get it perfect. so does it hide well and is it warm with that material it comes with?

if you have a narrow boat the blind will stick out sorta like wings letting the grass drag in the water. it was a strong blind but a bitch to set up. i got rid of mine and got a go-devil blind with mud buddy shaggy blind material. the go devil one was well thought out and about the same price

IT SUCKS!!!!

Like said above it will turn you boat into a hammer head sharck in addition to weighing you boat down.

I put one on a 1648 gaterotrax and it hunted good, but it weighs alot, and sticks way out in the front.

check out the classifieds. I've got an Avery Quick Set for sale. It's currenlty on an 1854 PD boat. Seems like a nice blind. Looks brand new, but I'll never use it.

I only considered it because of the windblocking material and the clamps so I could take it off for fishing can the godevil be taken off?

you can still buy the windblocker material and put it on any blind. the mudbuddy blind frame isn't bad. i have the shaggy blind and i like it much more than the grass

I had one for a couple of years. It does weigh a shit ton an it is made out of steel. It didnt fit my 1648 for shit. Modified it to work as a "quick set" and worked ok. mine was bought in 2000 and had Avery fast grass on it, new ones come with Cabelas crap grass. The need alot of paintin and blendin with natural vegitation to look right. I bought a Avery Quick set
2-3 years ago and love it. Still needed some mods but the alunium frame work is great and light. Just my 2 cents

I have the Mud Buddy flip over blind the thing I love most about it is it takes me a bout 30 seconds to set up and I can have it completely off my boat in about the same time. I dont use it to hunt out of much but we use to camp out and get our spots alot the night before. It works great its waterproof and warm. I did hand stitch more stubble straps to the roof of the blind because thats what the sticks out the most and now I can really make it dissapear. It is a little heavy but ease of taking it on and of and set up is really nice. Ill never own another Avery blind in my oppinion cheaply made and way to much money for what you get. The instructions to set is up are even worse. I sold mine a week after i bought it I hated it just my .02 cents

does the northern flight really affect speed that much? cause the reviews on the website all have good things to say about their how they fold down and ride. I could just get the avery frame only and put my own fastgrass on it but im not sure if that would cost more with a flip top. i do like how the northern flight looks just kinda concerned about it riding well.

I used one of the northern flight blinds two years ago. I didn't like it at all. Of course, when I got it in the mail, the box was all busted up, and the straps that hold it up were missing. Took them almost two months to get me the needed parts, and by then I'd had enough and just returned it. The roof wasn't high enough to sit under, and when you flipped it up, it would fall back down on your head. It was heavy, and I didn't like the way it trailered or rode on the boat.

I used one of the cheap gooseview blinds last year and really like it alot. Its super lightweight, which will probably be the death of it at some point. But it sure took some abuse this year, and will be used again next year. If you close it up on top of you, it will keep you warm and dry. You can set it in any position imaginable. I had to cut it down a lil, and drill some new holes in it to make it fit my boat right, but still only took an hour or two tops to install. Once built, it will go on and off in about ten seconds. Trailers nicely also.

I have the northern flight blind and it works okay but you have to attach bungees to the rain top and the back of the frame to give it assisted lift. If you dont and the wind is blowing ....or if your like me and apparantly your the only one with hands available to lift the lid....every time...without any help when the birds are coming.....it sucks and will blow down and hit you in the head.
