 aluminum seat base the aluminum 7"x7" seat base can i weld that in my boat instead of bolting it? i have a 1/8 5086 sub floor in my boat i wont be able to get under it to bolt

Re: aluminum seat base If it's the cast aluminum, yes. Hillside Castings makes a particular base for the floor with a short pedestal hole.

Re: aluminum seat base Another option is seat spiders you can sit where you want I made some and haven't used my post since mine are made from aluminum seat base and bent 1/2 inch aluminum pipe if you make some use AL pipe much cheaper than tubing
