motor cover/camo???
Looking for another option for a cover to hide my mud motor while duck hunting. I was actually thinking of getting a welder's blanket then zip tie netting material on it and put some grass on it and be done with it.... what do you guys use? Keeping in mind how hot that muffler gets...

Re: motor cover/camo???
Those things cool off as fast as they heat up.... cover up the rest of your boat/blind and by the time you're done no special care should need to be taken. I throw a grass mat or burlap over mine just minutes after pulling into the spot. No fires or singed camo to date.... Now-the WD40 bath after putting it back on the trailer has caused some explosive results but nothing that beating it with a life jacket while trying to stay upright while laughing histerically can't fix

BBQ pit covers work good and are a cheap option.

Re: motor cover/camo???
I had a piece of left over camo cordura from a previous project. Don't have a sewing machine, so I use hot glue and heavy duty Velcro to make a cover. Ive been meaning to add some stubble straps with nylon banding from a craft store, but haven't gotten around to it. Cheap, easy, fits good enough for my liking. I put the cover on once the rest of the boat is set up.

Re: motor cover/camo???
We have camo covers that fit any make.
They have a silicone impregnated cloth on the inside that can be put on a hot muffler after about 10 minutes.
They also have stubble straps for attaching vegetation.
Check them out
