This years Lake Seminole Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 5th!
Last year we had well over 70 boats and this year promises to be a huge event!

The poker run is out of Big Jims/Spring Creek Resort. There are launches and lodging right there. I expect the lodging to book up VERY quickly.

As always we will be looking for donations for raffle items. If you have an item to donate or a recommendation for someone for me to contact please let me know!

Big Jims has the motel, the big trailer that sleeps a bunch someone splits every year, and a few little prefab trailer/cabins. There is a new campground called "fins and feathers campground" that is right by sealys- 5 minute truck ride or 10 minute boat ride. I don't know anything about it, I just hear it advertised on the radio. Looks like they have a couple of cabins/lodges they rent out. Trails end is 10-15 minutes by truck and probably 25 or so by boat. Wingates is nearly an hour by truck but only about 10-15 minutes by boat (it's straight across the lake). I'd look into Big Jims first as you can walk to the launch and leave your boat parked there and not have to drive anywhere. If you have a group of 4-6 you might look into that new campground at sealys. Seminole State Park also has campgrounds and cabins and is about 10 mins by truck or 15-20 by boat.

Obviously you came on this thread to grind your ax (with your initial reply saying to count you out and looking for a segway in to voice your specific "problem" even thought it's unrelated to this event). A few of us bust our ass and put a lot of time, money, and effort to put this event on. If you don't want to come then that's fine, but I would appreciate it if you would refrain from coming on this events forum trying to undermine what we do.

Let me apologize to everyone here and clarify the situation and I'll be done. I mistakenly thought some asshole who claims he helps put this together actually helps out. Apparently he doesn't so everybody disregard. The run is for a good cause and it's a decent time.

Lol. That's the one I meant. No scooters but your welcome to bring one.
Just talked to Big Jims. A lot of the rooms are booked but they do still have a few available. Also, if anyone is interested, Lacy at Big Jims said she has access to a couple of lake houses nearby that can be rented for the weekend.
