 Need help getting my prop off!! Hey guys this is my 1st mud motor and it's time to Change the prop. I just bought a new prop from bps and I thought I would remove mine before it gets here. I got the bottom that off with my impact wrench but I cannot get this prop to budge at all. Not even some wacks with a hammer help. What am I doing wrong? Are there any tricks for getting these off as I know be pretty tight being threaded. The engine is a marsh monster which is pretty much like to go devil beaver tail set up.

Re: Need help getting my prop off!! Using a dead blow hammer will work to loosen prop, but have seen bearing races cracked from excessive hammering. Might want to build your self a prop removal bar and use torque to un thread prop. Have seen a cracked race lock up a prop shaft and ruin the shaft.
