1748 phowler w/23 swomp
Just ordered a new 1748 phowler. Curious of the performance with the 23 swomp or if anyone has ran something similar. I terribly want the 23 because of pull start backup. Had my 23 swomp on 1648 alumacraft (#400 with floor) and ran 22 solo and 17 mph with wife 2 boys and 2 dogs and cooler(roughly #500 more to boat weight. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a great fit! Is that phowler .100 gauge? Wondering what the dry hull weight is? I read some rave reviews with a 23 copperhead sd as well as a 1744/1844 phowler. Great speeds on your previous hull! I only get 20.4 mph by myself with the swomp 26.5 efi. Please post review when you get yours and run it!

The alumacraft was .08 I believe. #370 then added treated floor so I'm guessing around #400. The new phowler is .125. not sure the weight but if I guessed I would say around 550. I will post reviews once it's all together.

He must have some adjustments or something. When mine runs wide open the cavitation plate is hardly in the water. He should be getting better speed than that.

Yeah he hasn’t put many hours on it. Hopefully soon he can dial it in. 19 is a respectable speed though

Yes it is. I'm actually hoping to get 17-18 with new rig. I would be super happy with that.
