Exhaust bolts - 23hp stock GD
Does anybody know if GD sends the bolts when you order a muffler from them? Parts girl didn’t know, my current bolts look pretty rusty, don’t want to reuse them.

I don't remember the size, but your local hardware store is the best bet. I've never received an exhaust with bolts.

That’s probably what I’ll end up doing, parts tree is $3/bolt plus the $8 shipping. Probably lose the torx head, but that’s not worth $20

Put some studs in there and you won't have to worry about them breaking off in the head.

Hmmm I may go that route. Loctite them in there and be done.

Re: Exhaust bolts - 23hp stock GD
Well Incase anyone uses the search feature and has this question, the exhaust from GD comes with all bolts and gaskets.
Getting some air at the flange though, not sure if it’s the fan blowing by there or a gasket leak. I’m going to put some soapy water by the gasket/flange to try to rule out an exhaust leak. Any one got a better way to determine where the air is coming from?

Re: Exhaust bolts - 23hp stock GD
Put the VW gaskets in, the air I was feeling was from the fan blowing between the heads and the heat shields.
Anybody need some 23hp flanges off the old one to build an exhaust?
