I picked up my boat today. Here are some pics after I got it home. Will post a review when I get the whole rig setup.

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860
I notice you got the kik-up outboard mount on this rig. I am kinda interested in seeing how your PD is going to mate up to the Kik-up. I imagine you probably discussed this with Excel when you ordered the boat so I am not trying to say it won't work, but I am interested in the end result. Keep us informed on that and get us some good pictures when you get it mounted.
Also, I wanna know how bright those LED's really are---like compared to (2) 55-watt fog lights like Pro-Drive builds and sells.

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860
Yea we have that worked out. I am going to build a plate to put on it to hang the pro drive. I went ahead and got the kik-up so, if I ever decide to hang an outboard on it for fishing Grenada Lake, I will have it. The front LED lights are pretty bright! I will have to take a picture of them and post it. Maybe that will help.

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860
I like the idea of having a plate fabbed to mount the PD on. Be sure to get some good pictures when you get it mounted.
Deadbird8--Thanks for the info. on the LED's. I know they've got to be brighter, but my mind just wants to compare them to the LED headlamps that I use during the season and you know how those things just don't reach out very far.
Do you know what lighting pattern they use in the Excel LED kit, i.e.-1 spot and 1 trapezoid, 1 spot and1 flood, etc?

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860
The plate was just delivered to me here at the shop. It is a 14 3/4" by 11 1/2" aluminum plate that is a hair over a half inch thick. I will post pics when I get everything mounted up.

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860
The Excel looks like a very nice hull design...
Is it USCG certified - or a Commercial with no floatation - would like to know what options they offer on floatation ?

Hey DD09, sweet rig, both truck and boat! I`m looking forward to seeing that PD36 hangin off the back. Are you going with the auto full power reverse? I know it`s high dollar, but it looks like it would fit your application to a tee. Good luck, and enjoy!

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860 ***NEW PICS***
It says it complies with the U.S. Coast Guard.
I am going with the Full Power Reverse and electric trim. I am getting the Marine Edition which I think is all they make now for 2010. I am getting the motor in camo also. It is on order and I should be able to test it this time next week.

I think QP was wondering if you were putting the power full power reverse or the manual full power reverse. You can get either one.
I was wondering that too.
Awesome rig...

Roger that caddobrook! I was referring to the auto(electric switch)-VS-manual(crank by hand). With the transom set back on that custom Excel,it would be nice to just flip a switch.

Re: Excel Shallow Water F4 1860 ***NEW PICS***
Diamond City Trailers is the company that makes them. They make the trailers like mine for Excel, but you can buy them separately for any boat.
I ran the boat this afternoon and, with 15 minutes of run time on the motor it got 25.2 with me, 5 gallons of gas, and 2 batteries. The water was deep with a slight chop. I will do an all out full review as soon as I get the free time.

That is a nicely finished out hull. It is obvious that they put a great deal of thought into the practicality of the layout. Thanks for posting the pics and congratulations on the new rig!

None of the lines are in the way of where you are walking and they are all tied up nice and tight with zip ties. I thought it all out I promise

I never got to do a review. The boat will hold a steady 25 mph with 4 people riding. I love the pro drive. The reverse is a must have for me. It's just convenient. Excel did a great job with this boat! It's a duck hunter's dream come true!! If there is anything else you would like to know feel free to pm me.
