Prodrive Exhaust Help
I have a short shaft prodrive and recently noticed a hole in the back side. I have found a voodoo that I am planning on buying.
I have researched and researched, but I’m having trouble finding feedback on the voodoo’s construction. Will this be the last exhaust I need to buy? Will it be expected to crack being so near the water?
Also, has anyone tried wrapping them to help?

Re: Prodrive Exhaust Help
This will not be your last exhaust you buy lol It will eventually rust, and possibly crack.
Don't wrap it either, like I said, it will rust.
All I ever do is buy a stainless stocker and gut it. Saves money.

Re: Prodrive Exhaust Help
Yeah they all give out in time. I had my buddy Dustin breaux in Houma do a cerecoat on my voodoo that has 50 hours on it roughly now and looks like the day I put it in the boat. No rust whatsoever and we only hunt in salt water. Might be a good option for you to help it last longer. My boat also stays in a garage when not in use, so I'm sure that helps a lot too

I love all of the positivity. Hahaha
Guess I will just wipe her down with oil until I get time to cerakote it.

Re: Prodrive Exhaust Help
For what it's worth I have a MarshMellow that has been on my PD for 9 years. Works well and it's hanging in there.

Re: Prodrive Exhaust Help
My Marshmellow has been on my GTR since 2011. I have replaced the mounting brackets twice and the large hose clamps occasionally. The muffler itself is fine. About 2 years ago I sandblasted it and painted it with high temp paint. It has held up. I only run in freshwater and the boat stays in my shop.

Re: Prodrive Exhaust Help
I wash my boat every trip before I bring it home to get the salt off too which helps in keeping everything staying nice
