I have seen some aluminum tubing welded on boats to be used as receivers for a winch on this forum. I can not find anything around here that would work to take an 1.25" or 2" hitch. Does anybody here know where I could get something that would work?

Mine was square tubing that was custom fit for my application. I did not use a 2" receiver, smaller than that.

There's a company called bayou metal supply in Slidell La that shows a 2.5" square tube with 0.190 wall. That would definitely fit a 2" hitch... Don't know if they sell small cuts or not.

You can check out onlinemetals.com . They will sell and ship sections of any type of metal .. ie... aluminum, Stainless, carbon, titanium....... it's a little more expensive by the foot than if you priced out a full joint of tubing (24' long) by the foot, but they will ship it to you and you don't have get out to go and get it.
