 Trolling
Those that use their mud rigs for fishing......anyone got a tip on how to cut down on the rear end of the boat sliding all over the place while trolling? Trolling for crappie hasn't been so much fun the few times I've tried it with my Prodigy.

 Re: Trolling
First, it’s a mud boat, it’ll slide from the wind if you don’t run your trolling motor fast enough. Aside from attaching some sort of a keel, not much you can do that I know of aside from just steering...
It’ll make you burn your battery faster, but you could always tie a small bucket to a rope and drag it a few feet behind you to help...

 Re: Trolling
Keeping your motor trimmed down a little helps the boat track a little straighter... as long as it stays straight with the hull.

 Re: Trolling
Put your trailering bracket on the motor when you get to your fishing spot and it will keep it straight.
