 How much HP do I need? I have a Tracker 2072 with a hardside aluminum blind. I currently have a 75hp Honda but am thinking about going to a surface drive. Will I be happy with a 35hp? I don't think I want to afford twins. What do you guys run on your big jons and how happy are you with them?

Re: How much HP do I need? You won't be content with a stock 35 or a stock 37 efi based on past opinions here.
Depends on your expectations though.
You won't need all the mods available, but a cam, a carb, and headwork should make it more than capable with that boat, I would think. If you go efi, then headwork, cam and exhaust.

Re: How much HP do I need? As much as you can afford. Seems like no matter how much anyone has they want more. Of course, the cost to adding a couple miles per hour can add up quickly and sometimes cuts into the life expectancy of the motor.
