 Need some GTR help
I got tasked with bringing my brothers boat to Gatortail to get worked on, needed bearing work and upgraded the reverse to gen 3 while it was there. Picked the boat up and took it out saturday for a ride, all went well. Got home and noticed these bolts hanging from the clutch cover. Pulled clutch cover off and I am pretty sure these bolts go with the bracket that holds the caliper. Anyhow, I would throw it all back together but I am afraid the nuts maybe at the bottom of the belt housing, they are lock nuts so I doubt they would back off on there own. In the case they were only hand tight and fell to bottom of belt housing should I leave them there or tear everything apart to retrieve them.

I'm no rocket scientist but I wouldn't leave chunks of metal near moving mechanical parts for sure.

Looks like they've got new hardware on there. Those could be the old bolts they took out and accidentally left in there.

 Re: Need some GTR help
I'd definitely check in the belt housing for the nuts though

 Re: Need some GTR help
I cant see anything in the belt housing, and if they are in there im sure im going to find them under the sprocket and belt. Its SS hardware so a magnet is a no go. I talked to GT and they said throw some nuts on there and run it or bring it in and they will look over it. I just hate to take off from work to make the drive.

 Re: Need some GTR help
Loosen the 4 nuts (1/2") that hold the engine to the frame. Then remove the nuts holding the outdrive to the belt housing (9/16"). Pull the outdrive off, fish out the 2 lost nuts, put it all back together. Looking at 30 mins, tops.
