 Grease piston-go devil
I have a 16 hp long tail go devil, and I am curious if anyone else has had this problem. The grease in the grease piston is leaking around the plunger within the piston, not a big deal, but it is annoying. It was brand new last winter this is the first year I've hunted with it. It has been this way since I got it almost. Thanks for your help.

Those aren't very expensive and if you don't buy one from Go-Devil, you can get one from McMaster-Carr.

 Re: Grease piston-go devil
Do you fill the lubricator full when servicing the motor? You are only supposed to fill it 3/4 to give room for expansion. The grease may be seeping past the side of the position when the pressure builds up. It's simple to tear apart and clean if this is the case.

Just don't drop it on the concrete! Cause it will break! I bought my replacement on eBay for less than $20. But they were about $40 everywhere else. Local farm supply would be a good place to check.

 Re: Grease piston-go devil
I didn't think u were supposed to fill that piston. You fill form the 2 lower fittings until the piston goes to full. But maybe I'm wrong

 Re: Grease piston-go devil
My gdlt 16 did the same thing,I have the go devil lubricator on it, what I did was take the top off it and clean it all out after I got it back together I didn't add grease but run it and the grease in the tube filled it back up on its own once it heated up Prob went up 3/4,problem was it was just over full and bypassing the piston from the pressure,I always take my grease gun just in case tho.
