yep, pretty much how it goes dude. Stick with da GTRrrruh, in fact.... anyone who plans on froggin should get a GTRrrruh cuz you can't catch frogs without it.

I am not sure what you were expecting to get out of the gtr reverse so I am not sure what you are comparing this to. Did you test drive a GTR before you bought yours and does it not perform as well or does it just not perform like you expected?

Remember the GTR is not FPR if you are in forward motion it is not going to stop instantly and be doing 15mph in reverse.

Now I own a GTR and I am not talking bad about it but you can only expect so much out of it.

If it is that important 2 stop that fast build yo self a water break for yo boat. Its not your motors fault.

Some hydro air brakes off a 727 may be ticket. Pop them babies out and you can stop on a dime and snatch dat frog up.

What boat hull do you have it on and what is da transom angle?

When your running you will obviously have it trimmed up, as you come off plane and flip it into neutral and start to slow, hit the reverse lever at this time you need to be trimming down as well to make it be more effective this gets the prop deeper into the water and will slow you down a lot faster and make your reverse propulsion a lot faster, same goes in mud there's a sweet spot when backing just have to find it...

X2 on what westend said...these motors have a big learning curve. Get some more stick time and I think you will find that spot. It took me a while to figure my reverse out also but you will get it.

Is your prop in pretty good condition? I would imagine a wore out prop wouldn't stop you as well a a new one, if it slips in forward it would probably slip more in reverse.
