 Best shaft length?
I'm building a Briggs Vanguard 9hp Longtail. My question is how long should I make the shaft and what angle? I have seen 60in all the way to 72in shafts.... Building this for a 1436Jon short transom so want to keep weight down as much as possible..I have a idea of what I want to do but figured I get some more input/ wisdom..............Thanks

 Re: Best shaft length?
I went 60" on the exact same set up (motor and boat). Did not have any problems.
