First bought the MB Hyper drive29 Kawi it was a good dependable motor that in fact my Dad still runs today. I didint know about this site at the time I purchased my new MB 35. I had seen Pro Drives and the Go Devil didint know much about either so I just stuck with what I knew and had ran before. I would love to try a motor with Full Power Reverse so Im sure Ill be purchasing another motor soon. So far no comp[laints sure glad I found about this site what a life saver.

Well, comin from outboards & long tails, all I knew first hand was GD & BT. Had some buddies with MB's & PD's, but nobody had GT or GDSD, so knew very lil bout either of em. Heard stories of PD lower units bein sheared off by stumps, & that was enough to scare me away from em. When I decided to buy a sd, I started researching all 5 companies. Still scared of the stories I'd heard about PD lower units, I decided to only consider a PD w/o reverse (thinkin maybe it'd be stronger w/o the pivoting lower unit). I then realized, although reverse would be nice, it wasn't necessary. That kinda levelled the playin field for me, and I started price shoppin. I could get a brand new 27 MB for less than a 23 from anyone else, so that's what I did. After runnin a few other motors, I wanted more power, so I sold the lil one & bought a 35. I've now run all brands except BT, & when I order my next one, it'll be another MB. I ain't knockin the others, I just like the way my MB handles & performs a lil better than the others.

motors are like women what you want and need isn't always what you end up with Thats probably why I am on my third motor in 4 years. Nothing wrong with old one. Just thought the new sparkly one would be better. Now If I could find a way to trade the wife in on one that has more sparkle
