Post starting my homemade mud motor
well i got my 6.5 clone from harbor fright for 99 bucks plus a 20% off coupon. i got 18 lb springs new #90 jet and e tube, k&n air filter and fuel pump. Next I removed the governor and put it all back together. I have never built a motor and I have to say it was pretty easy. It started first try you have to love that. I have pics and a video but im not sure how to post them on this site ill figure it out a post them.

I started my mount for the motor last night I am going With the c clamp design just seems like the easy thing to do. I am toying with the idea of mounting two pillow blocks for the Y plane and then using something like a bolt for the X plane. wanted to know what others have done for there mounts any pics would be appritiated i was going to take pics last night mut my camera battery crapped out and i didnt think about using my iphone. anyways Ill try and get some pics up tonight.

i just used the c-clamp design. thought it was simple and portable if i wanted to switch boats for some reason. just tighten both clamps before and after you head out and should have no problems.
