 new idea
i have a buddy that took a 26hp kolher engine and mounted it to a 25hp evinrude tiller hadle lower unit and he hasnt taken it out yet but what are yall thoughts about this?
think it would work

this has been done before mud motors were made..
my buddy had a 27 horse motor on a 50hp mercury lower unit.
another guy i know has a 32 on a old 50 merc lower unit also...
all they are good for is running hydrilla..
you cant run shallow water or mud with them

in golden meadow the guys are making them and running them like surface drives, my padna says they run alot faster than any surface drive but they wont go through as much sh!t

you cant just trim up a lil bit and it should run in mud?

those lower units were designed to run in the water with low torque high reving engines to get the power
they are not designed to be ran in mud.

yeah i understand that but in my salt water lease i dont run through much mud so i might make one

if you got the shit,put it together it will work.use a lovejoy coupling to connect the shafts. you wont have to worry bout it pumpin water but it aing gonna go thru mud like a mudmotor. if you aint got all the stuff layin around,it prolly aint worth messin with.

Yeah I got motors and sh!t all around the barn so it's just gonna be a weekend project
