Well I picked up my boat from Jason a couple weeks ago and finally got it ready to go. It is an 1848 with 21 inch sides, extended deck, and a 72 inch gun box.

Deep Water
1 person (200 lbs) 18.4 mph
2 people (400 lbs) 17.5 mph

The boat is very nice, it turned out really great.

So we got an Uncle-J in Tallahassee now.

A buddy of mine from Albany is getting one built too. I plan on going over there with him if his wife doesn't.

I'd like to take a look at it. Maybe I'll see you out on the lake with it.

Where did you get your trailer and how much?

And yes, his plan is to get a larger mud motor or surface drive.

Tok the boat out today with 4 people (750 lbs) and it was goin 14.4 mph in the shallow water, I was really surprised on how easy the little longtail got this thing on plane

You need to demo a 35 short-tail.

It will give you even more reasons to start pinching them pennies.
