Considering the occasional breakdown, if you were to buy a new mudmotor today would you buy one featuring a clutch and reverse?

i did buy one without reverse. but i still bought a GatorTail.

Oh and giga....FYI, I can completely replace my clutch, reverse and belt in 15 mins.....faster than coco can change a prop!

GTR 23: The reverse has gotten me out of many a jam and without which I would have gotten wet, muddy, cold and a heart attack trying to get out. Now if you're a young buck who don't care about that, you don't need reverse.

I would buy one with a clutch and reverse for ease of use, my ole LT may be a pain in tha ass to handle and its slow but i can go anywhere a SD can!

Back to the subject, I bought an engine with no reverse because I figured it would be one more thing to break and up to this point, the only time I would've needed it, it wouldn't have done a thing for me since I was stuck so bad that the only thing that got me out was jumping in and turning the boat around.

In the future I will take a closer look at Gator Tail since it seems to be the preferred brand on here.
